In plain terms: we set no cookies, and there is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no profiling. We keep one tiny yes/no flag in your browser for the length of your visit.
One thing to know: the Work section embeds two live websites — a client’s hotel site, and The Yard, a student app we build and run on its own domain — shown one at a time on a globe that turns from one to the next by itself. Each loads by itself the first time the globe turns to it while you are on that section. Those sites can then set their own cookies or storage, which this site cannot read. Section 4 explains it, and section 7 tells you how to stop it if you would rather it did not happen.
1. This site sets no cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device and sends back with later requests, which is what makes long-term tracking possible. amanornsolutions.com sets no cookies of any kind — not strictly necessary ones, not preference ones, not analytics ones, not advertising ones.
One qualification, stated here rather than buried: the two websites embedded in our Work section are separate sites, and each can set its own cookies or storage once its frame loads. Those belong to those sites, not to amanornsolutions.com, and this site cannot read them. Section 4 explains exactly what happens and when.
Specifically, this site does not run:
- Google Analytics or any other analytics or measurement product;
- advertising or remarketing pixels, including from Google, Meta or LinkedIn;
- session recording, heatmap or scroll-tracking tools;
- A/B testing or personalisation platforms;
- embedded social media widgets, share buttons or comment systems;
- chat widgets or support bots;
- tag managers or consent management platforms.
2. What is stored in your browser
The site uses your browser's sessionStorage to remember one thing for the length of the tab. sessionStorage is not a cookie: it is never attached to network requests, it is readable only by this site, and your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
| Name | What it holds | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
amn.loader.seen |
The single character 1 |
Records that the opening animation has already played, so returning to the homepage in the same visit does not replay it | Until you close the tab |
The value contains no identifier, no account, no device fingerprint and nothing that could be linked back to you. It is not transmitted anywhere. Blocking or clearing it costs you nothing except that the opening animation may replay.
3. Why there is no cookie banner
We set no cookies and run no tracking, so on our own account there is nothing to ask you about. A banner requesting permission for tracking that does not exist would be misleading rather than protective.
There is one thing we do want you to know, because it is the one place this site is not self-contained. Our Work section embeds two live websites, shown one at a time on a globe that turns from one to the next by itself. Each loads by itself the first time the globe turns to it while the section is on screen — the first as it scrolls into view, the second a few seconds later, or sooner if you select it. At that moment your browser connects to that site directly. It can see the request, including your IP address and browser details, and it may set its own cookies or storage inside the frame. This site cannot read them and gets nothing from them — but they arrive without our asking you first. Section 4 covers this in full, and section 7 explains how to block it.
We have weighed that deliberately rather than by omission. The embeds exist to show our work honestly and are not used for analytics, advertising or profiling. There are two such embeds on the whole site, both in the Work section. Canadian privacy law, which is the law that principally governs us, does not require a consent banner for them. Under the stricter EU and UK ePrivacy rules a third-party embed that loads on its own is the kind of thing consent is designed for, so if you are visiting from the EEA or the UK and would rather they did not load, section 7 tells you how to stop them, and nothing else on the page depends on them.
Everything else on this site is served from this domain. Webfonts in particular are hosted here rather than pulled from a font CDN, so no third party sees your IP address simply because a page loaded.
If we ever add analytics, advertising or any technology used to track you, we will put a proper consent mechanism in place first and update this page before it goes live.
4. The two embedded sites
Our Work section embeds two live websites, each inside a frame:
- LimeRidge Signature Hotel (
limeridge-signaturehotel.com), a client's site. We do not host, operate or control it. - The Yard (
the-yardgh.com), a student app that Amanorn Solutions builds and operates. It is a separate site with its own privacy policy, hosted by Vercel, with its data held by Supabase. Its page also loads fonts from Google Fonts and a script from jsDelivr, so those providers see your IP address when its frame loads.
The hotel's site is shown first, and its frame loads on its own as the Work section comes into view — you do not have to click anything, and we do not ask you first. After a few seconds the globe turns to The Yard by itself, and The Yard's frame loads on its own at that point, or as soon as you select it. Pausing the globe's tour before it turns keeps The Yard's frame from loading. These are the only outside requests this website makes.
While a frame is arriving you see a screenshot stored on this domain, so the card is never blank. That image is an ordinary file served by us and involves no third party. The badge on the card reads “Snapshot” until the real site has loaded and “Live” afterwards, so you always know which one you are looking at.
Once a frame loads, your browser is connected directly to that site. It can see the request — including your IP address and browser details — and may set its own cookies or storage inside the frame, under its own privacy policy. For the hotel's site we have no control over them and receive nothing from them. The Yard sets no advertising or tracking cookies; if you sign in to it, it keeps your session in its own browser storage, which amanornsolutions.com cannot read.
The frames are fully interactive, so they show each site working as it really does. Anything you type into one goes to that site, not to amanornsolutions.com, and is handled under that site's own terms and privacy policy. We would rather you did not book, pay or sign in from inside a frame on our page: use the link that opens the site directly, where your browser's address bar shows whose site you are actually on.
If you would rather this did not happen at all, section 7 explains how to stop it. Nothing else on this site depends on the frames.
5. Fonts and other assets
Every font, image, script and stylesheet we load is served from amanornsolutions.com. We deliberately do not load fonts from Google Fonts or any other content delivery network, because doing so would disclose every visitor's IP address to a third party before the visitor had done anything at all. The embedded sites in section 4 load their own assets and are the exception on this page: the hotel's site loads from wherever it chooses, outside our control, and The Yard currently loads its fonts from Google Fonts and a script from jsDelivr.
The three typefaces are self-hosted under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; the licence text is published at /assets/fonts/LICENSE.txt.
6. Server logs are not cookies
Like every web server, our host records a log line when a file is requested — IP address, timestamp, the file requested, the response status, the referring page and the browser user-agent. This is a record on the server, not something stored on your device, and it is not a cookie. We use it only to keep the site available and secure. See section 3.2 of our Privacy Policy.
7. How to clear or block storage, and how to stop the embeds
Our session flag. Closing the tab clears it automatically. You can also clear site data at any time from your browser's settings — usually under Privacy, Site settings or Clear browsing data — or block storage for this site entirely. The site is built to work correctly either way.
The embedded sites. If you would rather your browser never connected to them, any of these will prevent it:
- Block third-party cookies in your browser settings. The frames may still load, but they will not be able to store anything on your device. Every current browser offers this, and Safari and Firefox do it by default.
- Use a content blocker — uBlock Origin, your browser's built-in tracking protection, or similar. Blocking the domains
limeridge-signaturehotel.comandthe-yardgh.comstops the frames loading at all. - Simply do not scroll to the Work section. The frames are requested only while the Work section is on screen — the hotel's as it comes into view, The Yard's when the globe first turns to it — so a visit that never reaches that section makes no outside request.
Every other part of this site works normally with the frames blocked. You will see the stored screenshots instead of the live sites, and the links to visit each site directly still work.
8. Changes
If we change what the site stores or add any third-party technology, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date before the change goes live.
